Hopes and Dreams;
A Time to Reflect and Celebrate

Window Wanderland 2021

Over 9 evenings in November we will be holding the first Burbage Window Wanderland, organised by Sketchley Hill Primary School PTA, to raise funds for school equipment and events.

Burbage Window Wandlerand will be a weekend to weekend, COVID safe community event, where participants decorate a street facing window and then illuminate it between 5-10pm to share their creation.

Our theme this year is Hopes and Dreams; A Time to Reflect and Celebrate.

Window Wandlerand began in Bristol in 2015, where they have "inspired communities to create a festival of light and colour, where people transform their neighbourhood into a magical walking trail using illuminated paper designs in their windows."

Everyone and anyone in Burbage can take part, you don't need to be creative or artistically inclined. We won't be judging your efforts however we will ask for Wanderers to nominate their 3 favourite windows for which we will have some awesome creativity boosting prizes.

The entrance fee is £5 per address, and all proceeds will be donated to Sketchley Hill Primary School Association. You can sign up, by 16th October, by following the Sign Up link above.

We hope the residents of Burbage will get involved and that everyone will have fun wandering around marvelling at the colourful windows being shared.

There will be an event guide available to purchase from local vendors before and during the event.

We look forward to seeing you wandering around our colourful village in November.

Who Are Sketchley Hill PTA?

Our main aim as a PTA is to raise funds for the school. Money is raised by organising fundraising events that parents and/or pupils can be involved in.

We are a very proactive P.T.A. with lots of things going on throughout the year; consequently we need a lot of help in order to make our events run smoothly and successfully.

We meet on the first Monday or Tuesday of each month in the evening (see main Calendar for future dates). Your time, talents, ideas and support, however much you can give, are always welcome and very much appreciated.

If you would like to get involved please contact the P.T.A. who would be happy to give you more information at pta@sketchleyhill.leics.sch.uk.
